Green Heron Farm is a small 11 acre farm located in the southern part Huntingdon Co. and is one of TOG's closest neighbors. It was established in 1984 by Tony Ricci and Becky Smith who grow a wide variety of herbs and vegetables. Until recently, they marketed their produce at the Takoma Park Farmers Market and ran a small vegetable subscription service in Washington DC. Besides farming Tony also works in the TOG office doing sales and maintaining the growing computer network. Becky is an art teacher as well as the farm's official horticulturist. She is responsible for many of the fresh and dried bouquets offered by TOG.
